Tim is a British citizen who was born and educated in Oxford, UK.
After studying he entered the IT industry working on the leading edge ICL Mainframes as Operations and Support.
In 1981 he visited South Africa for his nephews christening and immediately knew that this is where his future belonged.
Tim emigrated in 1983 and pursued his IT career with the introduction of the IBM PC’s, in fact he was involved in the selling of the first ever PC’s in this country. As the PC and IT industry developed, Tim was at the forefront of all the latest technologies as they were introduced and the next big innovation was that of cell phones in 1994. Tim developed a wide ranging technical knowledge as well as years of expertise in the Sales and Marketing fields.
With the changes in the technologies available and with the political background in SA it became apparent that there was a big need for an improvement in the education systems of the country and from that point onwards Tim has strived to improve education through IT.
With the advent of the internet, and the availability of the internet to a broader audience, the time is right to take the global education systems to the next level. That is why Tim is now involved with Southern African Virtual School.
